It seemed like a great idea to sew a chemise in veil silk for Pennsic and other varm events. How ever it was not quite so easy that I had hoped for. Very very slippery and hard to work with. But after a war with my sewingmachine and then fixing almost all the seems by hand instead, it´s probably the most comforterble under garment I have ever made. The seems are not the straightest and the sholder part ended up to big so had to pleate each side together but all in all I´m very glad that it´s done. And it only weighs 100 grams 😀
the wieght doesn’t mean it will be cooler though, there’s a reason they use silk for thermal underwear. you’d most likely be cooler in linen
No the weight means that I don´t need to worry about packing it when flying to the US or any other place wich was the mening with the dress from the begining
