In the process of polishing raised gilding. The gesso used for the gilding is made from a recipe in De arte illuminandi. It is the first time I do raised gilding and using this gesso on a scroll. Today we went on a roadtrip about 2 hours north from our home to a old mine called Källargruvan to look at malachite, azurite and hematite among other minerals. There are several old mines in the area and the mines have been in use from aroun 1500-1900.
